Protect the Integrity of YOUR Food Source!

I just posted this on facebook but I thought I would share here as well.
I had a furious moment yesterday and posted Monsanto Hidden in the Budget Bill.

I am fully aware that this actually originated in the Farm Bill in 2012 and is not the "Monsanto Protection Act."  This is NOT political!  This is not a Republican/Democrat thing.  This has nothing to do with our current president.

Monsanto has been creeping their GMO junk into our food for over 30 years.  Did you happen to read What is an Heirloom Seed?  Did you read that since 1910 we have LOST 93% of seed varieties?

The integrity of our food source is severely compromised and it is up to each and every one of us to do our part.  Buying locally is one VERY easy solution.  Another is to grow your own.  It can be as simple as 1 tomato plant and as involved as an acre of heirloom plants.  You can plant a few containers on your patio or grow in your entire back yard.  The choice is yours.

We, Mary's Heirloom Seeds, would like to help!
From NOW until Friday, April 5th at Midnight ALL heirloom seed orders $15 or more will include a FREE seed pack of YOUR choice!
Add Peat Pellets to your heirloom seed order and we'll throw in another FREE seed pack!

*To choose your seed pack variety:

Mary this is so right on, for those who are not aware I suggest watching the hour and a half documentary Genetic Roulette. You can rent it at the link below for $2.99.

So right you are! Our nation is in a health crisis and I am hoping that the tide is turning. I am gluten and refined sugar free and eat organic whenever possible. Happy Thursday from the enchanted oven.
xo,
Lisa

It's so frustrating seeing the health of families not being a priority for our politicians!

Thanks for sharing this at Fabulously Frugal Thursday!
